Construction Begins On Permanent Housing For Homeless In Madison

The county, city and state is constructing 60 studio apartments to help address a rise in persistent homelessness of people with mental disorders or addiction problems. The apartment complex will have on-site services designed to foster stability through health care and employment. Twenty-five of the 60 units have been designated for veterans.

Greenhouse project boosts job training for veterans

The construction of a greenhouse is being envisioned as a foundation for struggling veterans to build productive and successful civilian lives.
Riverview Gardens is collaborating with the Outagamie County Veterans Treatment Court on a project designed to reignite leadership skills among the court’s participants. They will build a year-round, hydroponic greenhouse at the swimming pool at the former country club.
