Event, sponsored by the Wisconsin Veterans of Foreign Wars, includes a modern rock show headlined by the band Saliva on Thursday, Aug. 22; a Classic/80s rock show headlined by the band Night Ranger on Friday, Aug. 23; and a country show headlined by Jo Dee Messina on Saturday, Aug. 24.

VA to Expedite Claims Decisions for Veterans Who Have Waited a Year or More

Effective today, VA claims raters will make provisional decisions on the oldest claims in inventory, which will allow Veterans to begin collecting compensation benefits more quickly, if eligible. Veterans will be able to submit additional evidence for consideration a full year after the provisional rating, before VA issues a final decision.

Dr. Lorry Fenner, a retired Air Force Colonel who now works for the National Defense University in Washington DC, will be coming to Madison on the 18th of April to give her case supporting the inclusion of women in the combat arms of the military. The purpose of her lecture will be to spark thoughtful, academic discussion on the topic and allow listeners to come to their own conclusions on the matter.
