WDVA Announces Women Veterans Expo 2012

MADISON – Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) announced that the Women Veterans Expo 2012 will take place on Friday, September 14 at the Trinity Equestrian Center in Eau Claire.
The Women Veterans Expo 2012 is an interactive event during the Year of the Veteran for women veterans to network and also gain access to services. The opening ceremony begins at 11:00 a.m. and includes Jane Norby of Full Compass Life Coaching. From 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. there will be break out sessions and other ongoing activities such as life coaching, equine therapy, and transcendental meditation. Networking opportunities will include hayrides, massage therapy, and a wine tasting. Veterans resource organizations will be on hand to talk with veterans about programs, benefits and services available to them.

The expo is being held in conjunction with the Field of Honor “Honoring our Veterans” program on Thursday, September 13, 2012. Day long activities include a program on Reintegration, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and MST, a veterans benefit fair, as well as a discussion and demonstration of the Veteran Print Project.
The Trinity Equestrian Center is located at S5300 State Road 37 in Eau Claire.
