MADISON, Wis. (AP) – A state lawmaker has introduced a package of bills designed to help veterans find work.

Rep. Evan Wynn, a Whitewater Representative, has introduced four bills that would create tax credits for businesses that hire disabled veterans, allow veterans to obtain one free professional license from the state, allow Department of Safety and Professional Services officials to count military experience toward qualifying for professional licenses and allow state agencies to give disabled veterans preference for civil service positions.

Wynn says he hopes to hold a hearing on the bills before the end of the year.
