More than 35 employers seeking to fill 700 jobs will participate in a veterans career fair Friday.
The 6th Veterans Career Fair will be in Room 3435 at the Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 5000 W. National Ave, from 9 a.m. to noon. The fair is open to military veterans only.
Among the employers participating: MillerCoors; Rockwell Automation; We Energies; Time Warner; Patrick Cudahy Inc.; City of Milwaukee police and fire departments; Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department; Medical College of Wisconsin; and the Milwaukee Center for Independence.
The fair is sponsored by the Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the state Department of Workforce Development Veterans Services Office and the Milwaukee County Veterans Service Office.
“Our career fair enables veterans to discuss current job openings with numerous area employers, which is a vital step in securing employment in this tough job market,” said County Executive Chris Abele. “These companies know that veterans are valuable as employees and are eager to meet veterans looking for work.”

This is good news for our veterans! I would also like to share this that will surely help for our unemployed vets:
Eco-Vets!
They will hire vets to install low flush toilets. A Vet can have a well paying job and 9000 gallons per year will be saved! They can hire wounded worriors too.
